Winter Maintenance Policy Statement

 

 

N6 Operations Winter Maintenance Policy is as follows;

 

“Winter Maintenance operations shall allow the safe movement of traffic, users and the general public on the N6 Project Road and Additional Roads and shall keep to a minimum the delays caused to such users by adverse weather.”

 

N6 Operations Ltd is responsible for the Operation and Maintenance of the N6 Galway to East Ballinasloe PPP Scheme, which extends 53 Km stretching from the Galway City side of Glennascaul Grade Separated Junction (Interchange 19) to just west of the Tulrush Grade Separated Junction (Interchange 14) in Ballinasloe.

 

During the period from 01st October 2023 to 15th May 2024, N6 Operations Ltd. will be responsible for Winter Maintenance on the N6 Project Road, as well as the following additional locations:

 

  • Loughrea Link Road, from Junction 16 Carrowkeel up to Monearmore Roundabout (not included).
  • N6 from the end of the Project Road at Ch 2+450, up to Coolagh Roundabout (included) and ramps.

 

It is the responsibility of N6 Operations Ltd to provide winter maintenance service for the 2023/2024 season.

 

The Winter Maintenance Strategy sets out N6 Operations Ltd. arrangements for all aspects of winter maintenance. This document is available for inspection by third parties at:
